HOUSES

Our students council
is comparised of Four houses i.e. ASAN
HOUSE, IQBAL HOUSE, TAGORE HOUSE and VALLATHOL
HOUSE.All named after eminent poets of India.
1.ASAN HOUSE: Named after KUMARAN ASAN renowned
Malayalam Poet and social reformer who used the power of Pen
against the evils of society like Untouchability and Caste
system.He had dominated the Malayalam literary seen during
the First half of this century by carving a niche for himself
through his unique narrative style.
2.IQBAL HOUSE: Named after MOHAMMAD IQBAL renowned
Urdu poet and Freedom fighter who wrote the beautiful lines
"Sare Jahaan Seh Acchae Hindustan Hamare".
3.TAGORE HOUSE:Famous poet RAVINDRANATH TAGORE popularly
known as GURUDEV, APROLIFIC and versatile writer who
founded Shanti Niketan.He was awarded the Noble prize for
Literature in 1913 for his collection of poems "Gitanjali".
4.VALLATHOL HOUSE: Named after VALLATHOL NARAYANAN
MENON, popularly known as VALLATHOL belongs to
the galaxy of Great Poets of Malayalam.He founded the Kerala
Kala Mandalam in order to popularise Kathakali a famous dance
form of Kerala.
