HEMA EDUCATION SOCIETY:
The HEMA Education Society (a Society registered under the Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act 1952 Vide No. 3147) was formed in the year 1973 as an offshoot of HEMA i.e. Heavy Electrical Malayalee Association,the socio-cultural organisation in the BHEL township which is affiliated to the Bharat Heavy Electricals Cultural and National Integration Samithi(BHECINS). The Objectives as laid down in the Memorandum and Articles of society read us under: To promote intellectual,physical,moral,vocational and cultural education among people irrespective of caste,creed or religion by:

# Establishing and maintaining school,colleges and other institutions in accordance with the rules and regulations in force of the Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh,Bhopal University, University grant Commission and such other bodies.
# Assisting the present institution in promoting the above objectives.
# Opeming libraries and reading rooms to educate the masses.
# Doing all such other lawful activities as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above objectives.

HEMA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL:
The HEMA Education Society Higher Secondary School started functioning in Hostel No. 1 at K.G. Class level with a strength of twenty two students in the year 1973. Since then it has had a phenomenal growth.Presently the strength is around Twelve hundred students. The BHEL Management alloted three acres of land for the construction of the building at Zakir Hussain Marg at D-Sector in Govindpura, where the school is functioning. The School,recognised by the Education Department of Madhya Pradesh under the 10+2 system, is a co-educational institution.The medium of instruction is English,Malayalam is being taught as an optional language from class VI onwards. In order to achieve the objectives of the Society,the School,strives to provide comprehensive, quality education to develop all facets os child's personality.The school seeks to develop every student into a self-reliant,scoially useful,discipilned and law abiding citizen.
